Would a AMD Athlon64 X2 4400+ be good for video editing... i heard someone say intel is better for video editing and amd 4 games but im not sure

A Pentium 4 is better at video editing and encoding, as a dual core Pentium has 4 cores, two of which are logical, while a X2 only has 2 cores, neither of which are logical.

intel has been better at video editing, but I'd say that now with dual cores amd and intel are about as good. The amd x2 cpus are awesome.

Are you talking about Hyper Threading? Only the Pentium D Extream edition has HT.

AMD also has Hyper Transport.

Sorry, got mixed up  I'm an idiot.

Get an X2, it'll be the same performance as a Pentium D.

*hits own head hard*

Phew.... I was gonna say... has my 2 months of research proved wrong??? So get an X2 over a Pentium D?

your wrong there. my p4 has HT technology on it, most intel processors now have HT and intels are known for better video encoding and such, so i'd get an intel
