Hey there, I was wondering if I can swap the processor from a Inspiron e1505 to a Inspiron 1525.

Any info is greatly appreciated. Tyvm.

I believe so as they both support 533 MHz and 667 MHz FSB. What CPU is in the e1505?

Intel Core Duo Processor T2500 at 2.0 GHz per core.

So am I good to go? I'm hoping this swap will boost my fps in the 1525.

Yea, it should be OK.

How comfortable are you with opening up a laptop?

Pretty comfortable. Been doing tedious stuff since I was a kid. ie taking things apart and putting back together. It should be ok. Removing the fan is probably gonna be the hardest part.

If the shit does hit the fan I still have my warranty on the 1525.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
