Default Processor speed

Hi, If I buy a lets say a 3.0 or higher Ghz processor in place of my current 2.0Ghz processor what differences will it make?

-off-topic-
I have two hardrives
Local Disk (C) 17.6 GB
Local Disk (D) 996 MB

Which of these two can hold more information?

Yes, there will be a difference. That's a 1GHz increase in performance right there!!! The C: drive is bigger because it holds 17.6 GB which is much, much, much bigger than 996 MB, more like 17 times bigger.

Well, a 2.0Ghz Amd, will beat out a 3.0Ghz Intel.

I think he's referring to just Intel Pentium 4 in general, if a 3GHz will make a difference compared to it's lower 2GHz Pentium 4. But yeah, AMD will smoke an Intel pretty good.

I wish I had a 3GHz Athlon processor. Need water cooling though.
