processor poblems

hey, i have a mobile MAD athlon 3000+ processor on my laptop, which runs at 1.8 GHZ when i first bought it, but now that number seems to change all the time from 356mhz to 756mhz 1.3mhz, i have not noticed any change in the performance when i play games but i am nto sure, is there anywhere on my computer i can go to get this sorted or is the cotrol pannel just displaying the wrong numbers?

yeah my bros laptop does the same, i think its so that it can use less power and not get as hot!!

its not a problem!!! if u dont notice any difference in games then theres no worrys!!!

It's the technology amd use to save power with their mobile processors. It's called cool 'n' quiet or something along those lines

yeah as soon as u play a game the clock is turned right back up again, it only turns the clock down when u are surfing and performing less challenging tasks!
