I'd take the Intel i5 2500k over any current Phenom, even though im an AMD fan really.

I will also say the i5, make sure you get a quad core one and not a dual core one

i5 is better, but if you are planning to OC you do need to ensure you have the 2500k.
I am also an AMD fan really. |

yes i7 is better but I think you get more value for your money with the i5

Depends on what you're doing. For gaming, the AMD beats Intel, for anything else, get the Intel. If you're on a budget, get the AMD. There's not really a better CPU. It all comes down to one's preference.
