Then if you have to save for everything, you could get a Phenom 2 955 and save some money. It does better than the i7 in most gaming benches.

For gaming, the Phenom 2 is.
For video editing, heavy calc, the i7.

Yeah, I think you would do better if you got a 955 and a 790fx chipset AM3 mobo.
