how old is the monitor? sounds like maybe the monitor is going bad, is there another computer he could try it on? if it isn't that it might be some setting on the video card.

First of all check the connections, first to the PCI Xpress slot, obivously making sure you turn off the computer first.

Check the cabling connecting the monitor to the card, and if it still doesn't change, then ensure that you have the most up to date drivers. Failing this, then try swapping the graphics card with another, if it still is a problem it could be the monitor is on the way out, did it happen before he brought the new card?

If the monitor is fine with the graphics cards swapped then it could be a dodgy graphics card.

Talking Re: Problems with green tint

thanks guys, after like 20 mins of messing with the video settings, we figured the card might be overheating, we opened up the case and saw that the video card fan was not plugged in *derrr* so we plugged that in and we took card out, put it back in and its working fine trial and error

thanks for ur ideas though
