I am about to build my first computer, and I have talked to many people that say its not that hard aslong as you read the manuals and you take your time. So my question is, what are some common problems or mistakes that that I could run into building this thing, and how do I solve them?

be absolutely sure to keep the parts away from any kind of static, expecially like a rug or carpet. i know not to do this from experience lol. make sure you wear gloves or an anti shock thingy or something like that to avoid frying your parts. also, i am 99% sure that if you fry a computer component there is no way to fix it.
Make sure all the hardware is compatible. Better yet, just post it on CF for us to check it for you. Most importantly would be CPU socket and model suport, PCI-E video card support, SATA support, and RAM speed support. Basically the motherboard is the most important aspect here.
And always remember to put risers behind the motherboard.. I have a friend who ( a couple years back) screwed a motherboard directly to the metal case. Yeah, fun sight to watch.

well many people are right. i built my first computer with manuals only. took me about 2 hours..lol yeah a bit more time than an experienced person would have took. just be sure that you aren't exposed to any kind of static. the most difficult thing for me to install were the 1-pin svideo, power, etc cables.
well the setup I have is straight out of a pc mag. excpet for a different brand of the geforce 7600 gt and a different case but with the same power supply. I do belive the motherboard im getting comes with anti shock wristbands.

The motherboard has to be raised up away from the case, most new cases come with the risers already attached and all you do is screw it down.
Just be sure that you have all the motherboard connectors and power plugs and IDE cables correct and you shouldn't have any problems. The hardest ones to get right are the case connectors for the LED's and the power and reset buttons that are usually down in the lower right corner of the motherboard.
Just break out the manuals and read about anything that you have a question about and you should be alright.

ok..either with the case or motherboard, it's going to include these risers. there are holes in your case that allow you to screw in these risers. risers have screw holes on the top and allow you to screw the bottom of them into the case. depending on if you are using an ATX or micro ATX motherboard, you'll use different holes. an ATX motherboard would use the outermost screw holes. screw in the risers and align it with the holes in your motherboard. from there screw in screws into the screw holes from the risers then your motherboard should be secure and ready for use. wow i don't know how many times i just said the word 'screw.' but that's the jist of things.

OK so heres the setup I have in mind...Id love to hear the pros and cons about this system including fps on games like BF2 and Quake 4, and also how long untill this stuff will be outdated or need to replaced. Also is there a better video card out there for around the same price?

That actually looks good 
As for BF2, you should be able to max out settings.
Quake 4 should as well.
Since it's SLI, and the card your getting is also SLI compatable, you should be able to get another 7600GT at a later date to improve on some games even more
For now though, that card should be more than enough.
