Default Problem Removing Battery

I'm tying to remove the battery from an Advent laptop (model number:MID2030).
There is a small "tab" thingy on it which I guess you're meant to use to pull it out however it does not come out easily and I feel I might be forcing it out.

If it helps the battery is a LI-ION BP-8599 battery.

Thanks in advance.

Look for any locks around the laptop. If you already found them or there aren't any, then it looks like the worst you could do is pull the little tab out. I can't find any instructions on how to remove it, maybe refer to the user manual.
