Default Problem with Pidgin (Sort of)

'Ello everyone. Long time no...type? 0.o

Anyways, I've had Fedora Core on my PC for a while now, but never got round to getting to use it. So today I upgraded it to Fedora 7, and started playing around, and I was quite impressed. Things I wanted to work generally did. I do, however, have a major nag... I cannot get Pidgin to connect. Now, I have it set up properly (I also use it under Windows) so I think it's more to do with the computer's connection settings. However, I have no idea what it may be, so I was wondering if someone could try to point me in the right direction?
