Default Problem with google search engine.

This just started happening about 4 hours ago. Every time I search something in google and click the link, it redirects me to some advertisement. When I click back it takes me to the page I originally clicked on, but it's really annoying.

I googled this problem that I've been having and people are saying it's problem a virus. Any suggestions or fixes would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like your browser's been hijacked.

Download and run MalwareBytes.

This might pick up whats causing the problem. Also make sure your AV software is up-to-date.

Hey thanks. I downloaded it and ran the scan. It found three "viruses" and removed them. I'm still having the same problem, but it got rid of whatever else I had.

Download CCleaner if you don't already have it.

(IF USING FIREFOX) Save your addons and bookmarks to SQLites and uninstall FF. Then use CCleaner to clean the reg and TEMP. Then run scans and cleanup.
Then reinstall and test. Proceed to re-load your settings.
