Hi, first time poster, got a problem on my hands, i ve been trying to dual boot xp with vista and i have tried to boot from CD using Gparted in the CD drive, now when i boot the computer it will not recognize so i went into my bios and the bios does not recognize it in the boot priority options, ive checked the connections in the computer and they all seem to be in the right place, part way through the boot a message appears saying No Drive Fastrack controller.Bios is not installed. This is a major pain in the ass and tips/help is greatly appreciated, and ill answer any questions! :D

Sounds like the controller, or the drive has gone bad. Have you tried the drive on a different controller? Trying another drive if you have one handy would be ideal too. Not much you can do other than this, other than setting the BIOS to defaults- which may work, maybe something screwy is going on with the BIOS, and a good default reset will help.
