Hi folks,
I have just replaced my hard drive to 80 GB. BIOS is detecting new hardware. I tried to partition using win 98 bootable cd. I made all partitions from primary to logocal but It fails to install operating system. When I delete all partitions and directly start making partitions from win xp bootable cd, I can't choose partition size for primary partition or C:. What I'm trying to do is I want 50% for C: drive and 50% for D drive:, but C: drive is already having 99% of space of 80 GB. I can't change or adjust any size...

That's peculiar. It usually always asks you how large you want the partition to be when you first try to create it. If the option isn't there, then perhaps partition management program could help.

If you download Gparted and burn it to disc, you can boot from it and edit partitions that way.
