Default Pro Media 5.1 problems

Hey guys 1st post, sadly its with a problem, My GFS uncle gave me his Pro Media 5.1 sound system, the subwoofer does not work, but he said the other speakers do. Now, I hooked it all up and I can hear sound on them but its vey faint, I can't turn it up any more. If someone couldlet me know what the problem is It would be much appreciated!! Thanks!!

Usually the amplifier is in the subwoofer. As your Uncle said it was busted, this is probally why your not getting much sound out of the satellite speakers...

I had the same problem but it was only with one speaker. the plug in the back of the sub was broken.
