Printing on the desktop printer from a laptop

well unless you keep a computer running and have it appear as shared you could do that, but i just use a little box that runs off a like 3v adapter called a print server.

The advantage of this being that ya dont need the computer thats connected to the printer, turned on to print. Im gonna get one of these myself when i get the spare cash.

Il probably get a dlink, the same as my wireless router mate

Yeah, and if it's wireless you can move the printer anywhere you want, it doesn't have to be right beside the computer. It can be over in a corner somewhere out of the way or whatever. Just so it has a power outlet and picks up the wireless signal.
