Default printer help

when i choose something to print it prints but it goes really slow

i think my computer has the problem not the printer because i just recently bought a new printer and it doing the same thing

also when i hooked it up to another computer it worked fine

help please

how is it connected to the computer might i ask? USB or the Parallel Printer port?

Once your done answering his questions, try reinstalling the drivers for your printer.

if its HP. they have a great Update utility. it will be in ur HP programs list

Even if you don't need an update, uninstall them and reinstall them.

i have usb its a brand new lexmark x5495 that i downloaded the drivers for and did i mention when i put it on another computer it works perfectly fine

well, its possible that the USB on the computer its slow printing with is stil using USB 1.1 instead of 2.0 which would explain why its slow

You might find this is down to a couple of things, 1st are you online or printing something from the INTERNET as this process does take a little longer, 2nd you may need more memory or have to many other applications running in the back ground so shutting some down before you print should help.
