Default price diff for a build

making a am2 build is almost the same price as a 939 build right? i mean the only things different between the two is cpu, mobo, and ram.

and am2/939 cpu's are pretty much same in price. the ram is almost the same price. but am2 mobos are a bit expensive, not too bad tho.

so if i make a build now, it should be am2, right? assuming that i have nothing right now. cuz alot of ppl say "its not big enough of a performance gain", so thats why i say im coming from nothing, no computer. of course, that is a lie, but just hypothetically speaking.
ATHLON64 3200+ @ 2.2Ghz AM2. 2 x 512mb OCZ 800mhz ddr2 ram. EVGA 7600GT KO.
