Power sw connector issue

I did a post boot and that works but when i connect the power sw and press and hold the button to turn it off it still doesnt work i know the power button isnt broken because when i press the button whike the system is on it will reboot but i can hold it and turn it off also if im in windows and i shut the pc off from in windows then press the pwr button it wont turn on

Sounds like you found the reset switch instead of the power switch. Which set of pins was it?

This may be a programmable type of thing in the BIOS, so you might want to take a tour of the settings.
