Default Power Surge

hi all, i have just suffered a power surge and my computer will power-up, but it will get up to the windows xp loading page (boot.ini screen) and the scroller will just keep going across the screen any ideas of the problem or possible soloutions?

i had that happen to me once, but does it stop near the end after a few passes, or does it keep going and going?

I've not had this happen before, but I've had this happen before other then the Surge problem.

What I did to fix it was erase the CMOS.

And that always fixes it for me that is.

wat i do is take out and put the ram back in
