I want to get a EVGA 8600GT 512MB DDR3 video card, and my computer has a 400w PSU that gets 16A on the +12V Rail.
I read that the 8600GT 512MB DDR3 uses 30w. I don't think this is strong enough, so should I get a new one?
My specs:
Windows XP Media Center edition SP2 (I never use the actual media center, if I unplug it, will it help?)
1g DDR Ram
AMD Athlon 3400+ 64 @ 2.4Ghz
200g HDD
DVD/DVD RW/CD RW drive
CD Drive (again, I can use the DVD drive for CD's too, will it help if I unplug the CD drive?)
If you need any more info, let me knopw... thanks.
