what will happen if i don't have a large enough power supply for my computer also how will i know how much i need thanks

Your computer won't turn on. It might randomly turn off in demanding situations. You won't get the best performance out of your system. List your specs and we will tell you what you need.

Well, the most common thing is that it wont power up. An underpowered supply can also cause instability.

A nice site to calculate power needs is eXtreme Power Supply Calculator Lite v2.5
