Got a 9800GT on the way and am looking for a new PSU. Every online store I am looking at seem to not be giving specs for the +12v. Instead they are just saying complies to the Intel standard ATX 12V V 2.3 regulations. What the hell is the intel 12v standards?. And gimme a PSU recommendation.

Will a 500w psu with dual +12v rails at 18A each run a 9800GT?

Rest of system is AMD 64x2
2Gig 800MHz ram
500Gig Sata II HDD
DVD Burner

Can you tell me where you order from so I can take a look around?

From eVGA's website:
Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 26 Amp Amps.)

Minimum 450 Watt for SLI mode system.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 V
I would say yes because I'm assuming you can add up the amps on the 2 rails right? Please correct me if I'm wrong. And with that said, I would go with the Antec Basiq 500W PSU. It's very cheap and reliable.

Yes, a 500W PSU with 36A on it's dual 12V rails will power a 9800GT in your system just fine.

The Antec Basiq 500W is a very good choice in a low cost, quality power supply. OCZ, and Silverstone are other good ones to look for too.

Unfortunately, I don't have any Australian sites bookmarked to help you out. :D
