Default Possible problem with computer

I have an older HP desktop. Everytime I turn on the unit, it'll just keep blinking really fast. On the back where the power adapter is at, the green light blinks really fast as well. The computer will not turn on, Please help.

The power supply (PSU) may be bad, do you have another one you could temporarily replace it with and see if that fixes the problem?

could just test the power supply with a multimeter. a power supply give out 3.3v, 5.0v and 12v. Here is a link you can go to for a little guide http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolso...multimeter.htm
