Default Is it possible to Install xp and vista on one computer?

Ive got vista on my laptop and come to the conclusion its really not worth it for me. It has two many combatiblty issues and im getting fed up if it. Im just wondering if its possible to install xp on it as well?

You could do a dual boot option, not sure about installing xp after vista tho, coz ive never done it that way. A general rule of thumb is to install the oldest OS first, so you may have to install XP first and then Vista.

this tells u how to install XP on a Vista drive so u can dual boot, also has a guide for dual booting Vista on an XP drive.

surely you just create a new partition, boot up with the xp cd, and install on the new partition

Nope, vista uses a different boot loader to xp

oh yea i get ya. i still thought you could do it then edit xp's or vista boot.ini/boot loader after
