Default Possible CPU Upgrade

I was thinking of possibly upgrading my CPU, i know i have the second to worst pentium D, and i wanted to know if it would affect my comps performance alot, and which one would be the best, i would probably get the processor from ebay, and get it for around $50, give or take a few bucks. I know that im not gonna find any Pentium D 960s for that price, but i know i can find the 950s and below for about that price. Thanks for the help.

performance will be the same. The clock speed increases don't do much.

You might notice a small increase in overall performance, but you should go for a low end Core 2 Duo, like the E4300, or the E6300.

Hmm, interesting. Maybe you should try customer support?
