Pointless to upgrade my computer right now?

So i been getting the urge to upgrade my computer, but I dont think it is need atm, becuase it can handle everything out today.

I have
AMD 3800+ Anthlon 64 X2 Dual-core processor
EvGa 6800 ultra
1gig of memory
DFI lan party NF4 SLI-DR

i been wanting to upgrade my vid card to, two EvGa 7900 GTX, two raptor HDD's, a new powersupply and two 1gig memory sticks. Do you think its neccessary to spend almost $2k right now?

Look, don't throw your money away for upgrading urges. Your system is powerful enough for a good year or two easily...if not three

DO NOT SPEND THE 2K RIGHT NOW.. I can guarentee u all that stuff u want is gunna drop in price by alot in the next couple months. Just wait a bit.

How big are your HDD size?

Adding the memory is fine...since I forgot about Vista.

i have a 300gig external and i 40gig internal, but the internal is like 5+years old

edit: when is vista commiong out?

well I'd definitely get a new hdd, and 2 gigs of memory is always a good thing.
Other than that I don't think that there is anything else u need to upgrade, unless u want to get a dual core processor.

i woudl get the ram, ram can never be a bad thing.
