Plz, need processor help

I have an old computer, with an AMD k6-2 500 mhz processor, i don't know alot about computers so i need to know what kinds of processors i can put in this beast so i can play better games, I know i should get a new comp altogether but am way too poor, hehe

You are at the end of your updating on that system there are arn't any faster CPU'S that will fit in that motherboard

Like Ranco58 is saying, they don't make upgrade chips for that anymore.

Time for K8 upgrade and new motherboard, yeah!!! There are budget PCs that are around $400 from Dell and Compaq/HP. Or you can buy components piece by piece at www.newegg.com until your computer is finished.

Reuse your monitor, keyboard, and mouse to save money.

Yeah; the K-6 Motherboard is probably more useless than the Processor itself... which is pretty useless.

You can get some great Celeron D PCs at Dell and Gateway for very low prices.
