Save your money...

Even with a 64 bit cpu you would be running in 32 bit mode. There is next to no 64 bit software. As for Celerons not being p4's I beg to differ. A celeron is a p4 with the L2 cache disabled and the fsb strapped to a fixed speed. Now they are slower than Granny and she bit the big one years ago, but they do have their place. They IMO are good for low cost systems being used as web sufers and maybe as smart terminals in a network. So look for other problems causing the slow down and if you can't resolve it check your motherboard specs and see if it will support a full blown P4. Otherwise save your money...
 
Thanks setishock. You got me set straight now. And I agree with you about the Celerons. Don't a lot of large companies still use those for work computers? I wouldn't know, because I don't work yet... :D
