for that system you are talking about? Is that the one with the 500 watt PSU?

If so, that is a very decent card and you should be able to play most games on medium-low

For an older system like that, this should work well: POWERCOLOR Radeon HD 2600XT 512MB AGP - $59.99

It will give you decent performance and not cost you an arm and a leg.

This is a fantastic power supply that will last pretty much forever, and 500W is all you really need:

(by the way, the peak wattage is usually higher than it is rated on nicer PSUs such as this one)


4GB of ram in an outdated system is kinda pointless, you're better off with 2GB (its more than enough for my system, and I play lots of games without a hitch):

That's a lot of money to be spending on an old, outdated system culexor. Why buy another 2GB of memory when it already has 1.5GB? All she needs is another 512MB stick if anything. I would leave it as is and maybe pop for the 2600XT video card. It's pretty much pointless to toss money into an outdated system.

That system is outdated.
You need to upgrade ya ram {512MB stick i suppose}
and you need a new graphics card.
