Hi guys,

I know what the multiplier is used for, I can't remember how the 'multiplier' itself is created and what it actually is.

Could somebody please explain?

Thanks.

OK , cpu speed is the fsbX multiplier , but it is the bus before the fsb is quad pumped or t whatever else , so say i have a pentium 4 2.8ghz , i know the bus speed is 533/4 which gives 133 , so if i do 2800 which is the cpu speed divided by 133 the bus iget the multiplier
2800/133=21 , so now do 133 X 21 you get 2800
