Default Pissed off at Futuremark's benchmarks, CPU test problems

Please Help me.
I am getting pissed at all the 3DMark benchmarks I have tried so far.

Everytime I go to launch 3DMark06 or 05 once it hits the CPU test, it exits right away and gives me a error:

IDirect3DDevice9::Present failed: Device lost (D3DERR_DEVICELOST)

And in 3DMark Vantage, it just closes on any test saying it lost full screen mode.

Whats more annoying is that the tests work sometimes, but never when I want them to work. AND I just got my HD 4870 and I REALLY want to bench mark it. It ran once, but I never was not able to see the score because the program stopped working right at the end.

I got the Vantage score at stock speeds for the Performance test.
I got a 6431 for the GPU and a 4545 CPU score to get an overall score of P5815.
Remember, this is with a X2 5600+ @ 3Ghz

I really wish to start these benchmarks, but in the mean time I am not going to go through other benchmarks until this issue is solved.

Also, I am loving my 4870 right now. I just had to increase the fan speed manually (I set it to 40%) and I idle at 49C. Can play Crysis on High and get GREAT FPS. Can't wait to start OCing it, but for that I need the dumb benchmarks to work.

Has anyone have this happen to you? I can't seem to find any solutions online so far.
