lol....i have periodic bursts of god mode...were im like almost invincible and run around w/ 1 health kickin butt...but most of the time i just die cuz of a stupid scout, or dang random head shot

okay first!!

... for CS you need rates assuming you have 512/256K (doesn't matter if it's one meg) try typing in the console

rate 20000
cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 100

Now on Steam you can select different areas of the world ... the nearer to your home the less you'll have to travel (well your connection) the faster and the LOWER the ping!

On CS it's important you have less than 50 ping!

Less that 50 - nice, smooth game play
50-70 - umm not too bad
70-90 - damn my aim feels werid
100-150 - why do I keep stopping?
150+ - WHAT did he just call me a cheater!!!

So you see it's important for nice ping!

Okay .... make sure when playing CS you have NO downloads or anything using your connection!

On a bunch of glass maps my ping is 100-150 and you don't notice it.
