Default photoshop image

In photoshop how do I save an image I made as a .gif, or, jpg, or something liek that it will only save as like .psd. I need to use the image as a signature image but that format isn't supported...

go to "save for web" ... i think it may be slightly diff in cs3 i cant remember but thats deff it for cs2

I tried doing save to web in cs3 but it's greyed out

edit: I figured it out, I had to drop it down to 8-bit now I can save it

gdgd. when you do save to wed there should be some options like the file format and transparency and stuff. make sure thats all set up the way you want it

just go to file save as, then there is a drop down menu for like 15 different file types you can save it as.
