Default Pheonix-Award BIOS any help

Can anyone help me find out what the BIOS settings should be for a computer with a maxtor 6E040L0 hard drive, AthlonXP2000+ and SiS 741GX+963 chipset. I got this 18 months ago for my grandkids one of which found his way into the bios and made a few changes, unfortunately the guy who built it is no longer with us. thanks

I'm pretty sure that resetting the CMOS will clear the bios (=set it to defaults)

Or just go into bios and restore to defaults.

Open the computer, then look for somethingwhere the battery is. Remove it for a few seconds, while the power is off, unplugged, then put it back. Then, when the screen appears, hit F1 and set to the BIOS default and set a password while your there
