Default Pentium M 750 1.86GHz

Is it possible to replace a Pent. M 750 1.86GHz with a dual core processor of the same speed?
I ask b/c I read that some companies are taking a dual core processor and simply deactivated one core instead of manufacturing single core processors.

It depends what the heatpipe in the laptop can support.

Fujitsu life book N6220 17" widescreen.
I dont know the slot type. could it support the intel core duo. its a fairly new laptop, only one year old. If the heatpipe is the problem I can just buy a new one.
