well pentiums only actual dual cores are going to be released in q2 2006, even that processor barely matches up with the current amd top model 4800. so i would just avoid intel. but if you can hold off on any sort of purchase for 6 months that would really benefit you, because of the new amd socket m2, and prices will drop immensily.

My CPU is a 1333MHZ, but the box says it's a 2700A+ box. It just means that the speed can be compared to a 2.7GHZ CPU. My techology differs from ANY Athlon CPU...Meh.

Anyways, AMD is easily comparable to New CPUs. Now, AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ can be compared to a 5000MHZ CPU...that's huge man!
