Default pentium d 930 vsIntel Core 2 Duo E6300

ok i have a pentium d 930 now and im going to upgrade my mb soon and it supports intel core duo so i might upgrade at a later date now how much faster is the e6300 over the penitum d 930 at 3.0ghz? will it play games ect...? or should i just stick with my 930?

Pretty much what john123 said. You can't compare the clock speeds of the 2 chips because the Core 2 Duos are built with a totally different architecture.

never thought id say this as im an AMD person myself, but id love to test out the core duo cpu, if u can afford to upgrade id def do it
