Pentium D 925 vs Core Duo E2220

Hi,

I am about to upgrade my CPU from PD 925 to Core Duo E2220....

As you know, PD 925 frequency is 3000 MHZ and cache memory is 2x2 MB.....is gonna Core Duo E2220 with 2400 MHZ and 1 MB cache memory be better than Pentium D 925 ?

The core 2 duo is actually better because since it's newer, it's more efficient, uses less power, run cooler, and therefore has a longer lifespan. I also uses the cache more efficiently which means it doesn't need2mb per core, it just splits the 1mb evenly. Overall, the core 2 duo is much better than the pentium.

Wow, I fail. I forgot it's a pentium dual-core. . But even still, in my experience, there are faster and run cooler than the Pentium D processors. And they overclock like a dream.

It is still using the Core micro-architecture, even if it has Pentium in the name,
