I know they always tend to run hotter then say amds, I just want to be careful with the new dual core chips. I found the problem, my heat sink wasn't completely seated/ too much thermal paste. Now i got it at idle too 34c (cpu) and mobo too 26c. I don't like this setup for the heatsink. i like the old p4 locking style, on this one i'm worried about breaking the mobo. Why can't intel make a better locking mec. are there any that have a back plate or screw in?
