Default PCIE question

Just a rather simple question.

If you buy a PCI-e Graphics card that is 2.0 will it work in the reg. pcie slots?

Default Re: PCIE question

Yes it is, but it will only be able to transfer data at PCI-E 1.0 speeds. Also it wont work if it draws more power from the PCI-E slot than the PCI-E 1.0 can handle.
