Hi I've bought a solid state disk that is SATA, but now that I'm into this it seems the better bet for bandwidth is to switch it for a PCI-e SSD for maximum performance. Problem is my only short PCI-e slot is between the dual PCI-e video slots. My video card eats up 2 case slots, and if I plug it into the lower one I lose 1 of the only 2 regular PCI slots, which I need for my extra SATA controller.

The MB I'm using is a ECS "KA3MVP" with ATI's 580X chipset ("scalable dual graphic engines) [to allow 4 monitors with 2 cards, instead of just 2 accelerated monitors].

Part of my considerations is that since tyhis MB was bought in late 2006, it must not be PCI-e 2.0, so I kind of still dont get TOO much further than the SATA2 bandwidth limitations, I guess?
