Default pc2700 work w/ pc2100?

if i had a computer that took pc2700 RAM, could i use pc2100 in it?

BUT.... all the memory will run at PC2100 - even the faster memory.

Yes, but once again, the memory will run at the slower speed.

it will run at whatever the speed of the RAM is.

i know spank_fusion already said that but the way it was said it sounded(at least to me) that if it was PC2100 it would run at a lower speed.

Well it will. The memory always runs at the lowest memory module's speed.
