Wow, that stuff is pretty old. I don't think $75 is really going to get you very far. You'd want to probably upgrade the motherboard as well if you were going to upgrade the RAM, because PC2100 is pretty slow, and you only have two slots for DDR SDRAM.

If that's your budget though, nothing you can do about it. Go with the RAM istonian posted, but you'll probably have to take out whatever you've got in there now to make room.

I would gut the system, but it's hard for people like us on budgets. Total you would have a 1 Gb stick and a 256 Mb stick so...1.256 Gb of RAM.

But the stuff you recommended has 2 x 512 and not 1 x 1024...

Will the RAM make games run a bit faster? I really do not have the money for a better video card, but I'm thinking a little ram doesn't hurt either.
