recently I have encountered a sound problem, a really annoying one.
-when I'm on windows and all its fine.
but for some reason, I keep hearing this waterfall sound/white noise on GTA IV and sometimes in prince of persia... its really annoying, I can barely understand any voices, and it messes with my ears -_-'
it happens EVERY TIME on gta IV (even in cutscenes), sometimes I get it working by pure miracle...
I just pause on prince of persia to have the sound back to normal tho
my specs: soundMAX integrated hd audio
mobo: ASUS P5L-MX
it cant be my speakers, it still does the same thing with my headset.
I tried some stuff like reinstalling the driver, looking for new ones (wich is impossible because there is'nt any driver section on the official website), lowering the sound acceleration, starting the game with -minspec audio or -fullspecaudio, turning my mic off, plug my headset on the back, it doesn't work... I really need help, I also want to know if it can be fixed, I don't want to pay a new sound card if the problem can be fixed...
I have windows xp service pack 3 btw.
