PC shutdown, PSU related?

Hey anyone, I have recently upgraded my pc, this included a new case and PSU. As expected the PSU installed into the new case along with my motherboard and all the other components well, but the problem arised when I attempted to turn the PC on using the cases power button, but, alas this had no reaction. I opened my pc again and checked that my front panel cables were correctly input, they were, I tried again, no luck. I then put the power button cable into a different row of pins beside where it was instructed to be, it powered up. All systems were as normal so I began using my PC. But after around 20 minutes the pc suddenly switched off..I try the power button but it doesn't work, so I have to move it to a separate pair of pins and it will power up again, but then switch off, so I decided that it must be either the PSU or the motherboard as I attempted with a different case and it still did not work, any suggestions would be highly appreciated, and sorry for the long post! 😝
