Smile PC Shortcut Keys You SHould Know

Hi there,

These are the shortcut keys that will work with almost PC computers and most software that runs on them. I recommend that you keep a good reference of the below short cut keys or try to memorize them. Doing so will dramatically speed up your productivity.

Shortcut Keys Description
Alt + F
File menu options in current program.
Alt + E
Edit options in current program
F1
Universal Help in almost every Windows program.
Ctrl + A
Select all text.
Ctrl + X
Cut selected item.
Shift + Del
Cut selected item.
Ctrl + C
Copy selected item.
Ctrl + Ins
Copy selected item
Ctrl + V
Paste
Shift + Ins
Paste
Home
Goes to beginning of current line.
Ctrl + Home
Goes to beginning of document.
End
Goes to end of current line.
Ctrl + End
Goes to end of document.
Shift + Home
Highlights from current position to beginning of line.
Shift + End
Highlights from current position to end of line.
Ctrl + Left arrow
Moves one word to the left at a time.
Ctrl + Right arrow
Moves one word to the right at a time.

just 1 or 2 that i belive is wrong ?

Shift + Del
Cut selected item
careful with this i think youll find if you are on a file like a pic or an mp3 and do this it permanently deletes it without sending it to recycle bin

Home
Goes to beginning of current line.
Ctrl + Home
Goes to beginning of document.
i think just home on its own goes to beginnig of doc not sure bout ctrl home

and thats all i know off the top of my head but yh the rest looks good and really informative

Yeah, Shift+Del is the key combo to delete a file without sending it to the recycle bin.

another thing that is usefull to know is the midlle wheel click in firefox that opens the link in a new tab

and yeah i knew most of them but in day to day usage i only use a few

No, but if you hit alt+space, you get this:

Which is the same thing as right clicking the taskbar icon, but this way you can use the arrow keys to get to maximize and hit enter.

You can also double click the program's title bar.
