Default PC messed up

Alright so my PC is messed up and I don't know what happened. I installed a Playstation one emulator and was playing Final Fantasy IX from the original cd rom. I restarted my computer for no particular reason and when I started it back up again I received a BSOD. The BSOD lasted for about 2 seconds before restarting my PC so I can't even read it. I tried to start it in safe mode and in last good config mode, but it does the same thing everytime! I can't get back to my desktop! What could have possibly gone wrong? I did use Vista's (32-bit Business edition) partitioning software a few days ago, but the partitioned drive is gone and everything seemed fine. What can I possibly do to fix this before having to reinstall Vista and all my hardware software?

*EDIT* I fixed it by running my Vista install dvd and running "Repair Computer". I hope this doesn't happen again!
