Shadowrun got crap reviews. Before getting any games, check their reviews on Gamespot. Possibly other sites like IGN too.

it may have gotten crap reviews but I still think its an awsome game

Neverwinter Nights for RPG + Oblivion if your comp can handle high specs.
Medieval II Total War.
Company of Heroes is a lovely game too.

CS:S is like any other FPS*10. Seriously, it is an amazing game, and I am sure that you will love it after you try it.

I am horrific at it, but I still like it a lot.
