pc busted again...:(

well my pc got busted again... i was instaling tribes vengeance and it rebooted for some reason. it the said i was missing hal.dll. so i put my hd w/ windows in my dads pc and it was a mess. i was missing some partitons one of them was corrupted(the one i was installing tribes in) and one wasnt even formatted. i was sad. so i tried to reinstall win on my other hd and it said something about drives being disconnected. how do i fix this? thx

i just thought of something... how do i renAme partitions (as in instead of something being the "d" drive i wanna make it another letter. ex one partition is called "stuff [D:]" how do i make the "D" into some other letter w/o reformatting? thx
