PC 4000? Is it Supported.

I am building a friend a system, but need to know, if a MOBO only supports 333/400MHz DDR ram, will PC4000 DRR533 work? i mean, will the MOBO recognize that ram, and use that speed? If not, then why in the name of humans is it marketed? Pls, someone verify what I am thinking, that the PC4000 is just newer, and is supported....!

PC4000 DDR533 is there basically for people who overclock. It will work on any PC Lower than it - but it will work at the highest speeds that Motherboard takes. It will be faster, if only by a little, than you running the actual recommended RAM on that PC, but perhaps not worth the difference in money.

Depends really whether he plans on Overclocking?
